Instructional Design Associates (IDA) is the culmination of Judy
Barbuto’s seventeen years’ experience in instructional
design, training, technical writing, and change management for
information technology projects. Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota,
she attended the University of Minnesota before starting her career
as a trainer for Alpha Associates. In 1987 she left Alpha Associates
to accept a position at Systemhouse, in California, as trainer
and technical writer, where she quickly advanced to the position
of Documentation Manger.
In 1990 Judy started her own company, Computer Knowledge, which
later became Instructional Design Associates. Her expertise in
instructional design, as well as her ability to attract talented
staff has secured an impressive list of clients.
IDA has grown to become a successful woman-owned business. Judy’s
commitment to quality instructional design and the expertise and
dedication of her staff to deliver on that commitment ensures
the company’s continued reputation for excellence.
